New partnership for Software Development apprenticeships in Scotland

A groundbreaking partnership between QA and the University of the West of Scotland opens a new path for graduate apprenticeships.

Today sees the launch of an exciting new partnership between QA, Scotland’s leading provider of technical, data, and digital apprenticeships and the University of the West of Scotland (UWS). The partnership opens a pathway for graduate apprenticeships in Software Development – the first of its kind in Scotland.

Students can study for BSc (Hons) IT Software Development with UWS. If you are in employment and hold a Level 6 or Level 8 apprenticeship qualification in Software Development this course offers an opportunity to study further to degree level.

Graduate Apprentices are productive members of their companies from an early stage. Your learning will be integrated with your workplace activities, so your learning and skills will be applied in a professional environment right from day one.

As a Graduate Apprentice you will be uniquely placed to integrate your academic skills, knowledge, and practices with workplace practices. Graduate Apprentices continue to work for their employers whilst learning.

Employers wishing to upskill their staff to degree level, and learners interested in powering up your digital career can find out more on the University of West Scotland IT Software Development programme page.
