QA has been listed as one of the top training companies in the UK, according to a report released this month by The Learning and Performance Institute (LPI). The LPI published their annual 'Training Top 50' report on July 11, 2013. The report measures the success of UK training companies based on the organisation's turnover for the fiscal year. They describe training as including "employment training, apprenticeships, IT training and business skills," all of which QA provides.
QA ranked in the top 10 training providers, remaining at number 6 for a consecutive year. QA showed a 7 percent increase in total annual revenue to a turnover of £118 million in 2013, helping it to stand fast in the number 6 spot.
Executive Director of Training at QA, Jeff Barnes, expressed his excitement about the recent news and looks forward to another strong and successful year. "It has been a fantastic 12 months for QA," Barnes said. "QA Learning delivered in excess of 400,000 delegate days, QA Apprentices worked with more than 1,100 apprentices and the QA Business School taught more than 1,200 students."
The LPI report also acts as a training provider guide and noted recent and upcoming trends in the training industry. Cumulative results show a market growth in the IT Professional training sector. There was a 3 percent growth in IT end-user training due to the necessary IT skills required to successfully fulfil job requirements. The growth in use of cloud application technologies suggests that there will be an increased demand for cloud-based training.
Another up-and-coming sector is Business and Management training, including Leadership Development, which now accounts for 10 percent of the total training market. Research suggests this advance is due to organisational acknowledgement of the importance of talent management and achieving business success.
"We have made sure that we are ahead of the curve when it comes to relevant training provision for our clients," Barnes says. "The recent trends reported in the LPI whitepaper map to the training capabilities QA offers its clients. We provide a variety of training courses in both IT and Leadership, Management and Business Skills (LMBS). Quality continues to be at the centre of our business strategy. I know that our focus on quality products and excellent customer service will see us continue to grow over the next year and beyond."
