What is changing?
We are streamlining how you login to learning platforms, Aptem & Canvas.
Why is this changing?
This change will enable single sign-on between Aptem and Canvas, improving your experience and ease of use of the systems that support your apprenticeship.
What action do I need to take?
1. Create new password
You will automatically receive a forgotten password link via email to your registered email address. (from no-reply@users.qaapprenticeships.com) Follow the link to create a new password.
You will then see this screen:
Enter your new password, then you will see this screen:
How do I now log into Aptem?
Click here to log into Aptem, you will see this screen:
Enter your email address and select "Next". You will see this screen. Add your new password.
If, because of a timeout you are presented with this alternative log in screen, select “Sign in using SSO”:
Then you will then see this screen:
How do I now log into Canvas?
If you are already logged into Aptem you can click through to Canvas directly from any links in Aptem.
If you have an active session, you will go straight into Canvas, otherwise you may need to click “Log In” on the left-hand side. You will not need to enter any credentials.
Alternatively, you can go to Canvas directly by clicking here and choose the Single Sign-On option on the left-hand side of the screen. If you still have an active session in either system, you will not need to provide any credentials to gain access.
If you are not logged into Aptem you will be taken to this screen where you will need to enter your credentials.
Please note that your old credentials will no longer work for Canvas.
What if I have forgotten my password?
When you log into Aptem and see this screen just click “Don’t remember your password?”

You will then see this screen:
You will then receive an email with a link to change your password. Note this password reset link is only valid for 24 hours.
How do I change my password?
Follow the steps above to change your password.
What if I cannot log in?
In the unlikely event that you have any log in issues please take these steps:
- Follow the steps above to reset your password.
- Check your SPAM folder for emails from no-reply@users.qaapprenticeships.com to reset your password.
If you are still having problems send an email to our support team at ITServicedesk@qa.com.
To resolve your problems quickly make sure to provide these details in your email:
- Which system you are trying to access, Aptem or Canvas.
- Your email address.
- The issue you are experiencing.
- Your contact details.
