Overview
In this course, you learn about data engineering on Google Cloud, the roles and responsibilities of data engineers, and how those map to offerings provided by Google Cloud. You also learn about ways to address data engineering challenges.
Prerequisites
Before starting this learning path, you should already have:
- Prior Google Cloud experience at the fundamental level using Cloud Shell and accessing products from the Google Cloud console.
- Basic proficiency with a common query language such as SQL.
- Experience with data modelling and ETL (extract, transform, load) activities.
- Experience developing applications using a common programming language such as Python.

When will I receive my joining instructions?
Joining instructions for QA courses are sent two weeks prior to the course start date, or immediately if the booking is confirmed within this timeframe. For course bookings made via QA but delivered by a third-party supplier, joining instructions are sent to attendees prior to the training course, but timescales vary depending on each supplier’s terms.
