Overview
This course introduces learners to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), focusing on its foundational concepts, architecture, and services. Through hands-on workshops and demos, participants gain practical experience with OCI's core components, including compute, storage, networking, and security features.
The workshop is designed for individuals and teams aiming to understand and implement OCI capabilities in their organisations, aligning with the business goals of scalability, performance, and security.
Prerequisites
- Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure such as networking, databases, and storage.
- No prior experience with Oracle Cloud is required, but knowledge of other cloud platforms is beneficial.
Target audience
- IT professionals and cloud architects transitioning to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Developers building cloud-native applications on OCI.
- System administrators managing on-premises to cloud migrations.
- Decision-makers, including IT managers and leaders, seeking to understand OCI's potential in enterprise transformation.
Delegates will learn how to
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand OCI architecture, including cloud regions, availability domains, and fault domains.
- Navigate the OCI Console and manage core infrastructure components.
- Deploy and manage identity and access management (IAM) features to ensure secure access.
- Configure and manage virtual networking, including VCNs, routing, and load balancing.
- Implement and scale compute resources effectively.
- Utilise OCI storage solutions for data management and migration.
- Apply governance and cost management principles using OCI tools.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery in distributed cloud environments.
