Overview
This intensive five-day course combines VMware Horizon: Deploy and Manage with VMware App Volumes and Dynamic Environment Manager: Configure and Manage. It covers the practical skills needed to deploy and manage virtual desktops and applications through a VMware Horizon 8 infrastructure. The course includes hands-on labs to configure and deploy virtual machine pools and customize desktop environments, and it introduces VMware App Volumes for streamlined application delivery and VMware Dynamic Environment Manager for user personalization across environments.
Prerequisites
To maximise success in this course, participants should have:
- Familiarity with VMware vSphere Web Client, including virtual machine (VM) console access and creating snapshots.
- Basic knowledge of virtual machine properties and template-based deployments.
- Experience with Windows system administration, including Active Directory services, Group Policy objects, and Remote Desktop configuration.
