About this programme

By starting with the SCQF Level 6 as an entry point, our IT Professional Apprenticeships develop real world skills in the most popular IT technologies.

We train and support learners by giving them the technical grounding and experience needed to become effective in your business through skills developed in Communication, Cloud, Helpdesk and Network Support through bespoke programmes developed around the individual’s job role.

What’s included?

Our programme incorporates IT and Telecommunications Modern and Technical Apprenticeships at SCQF Levels 6 and 8.

On successful completion of the programme the following qualifications are gained:

  • Modern apprenticeship including SQA diploma for IT and Telecommunication Professionals at SCQF level 6, plus core skills and the potential to complete vendor qualifications
  • Technical apprenticeship including SQA diploma for IT and Telecommunication Professionals at SCQF level 8, plus career skills and the potential to complete vendor qualifications

Outline

We develop our programmes based on the needs of the IT industry, and training units can be tailored to suit your business requirements.

As part of their programme apprentices will complete:

Modern Apprenticeship

  • 10 – 12 months including up to 5 weeks classroom training in first 6 months. Assessor contact every 5 weeks, rotating between remote and face to face visits to support work based learning and assignments. Competency units to complete in the workplace, providing a direct link between theory and practice.

Technical Apprenticeship

  • 12 - 14 months including up to 4 weeks classroom training in first 6 months. Assessor contact every 5 weeks, rotating between remote and face-to-face visits to support work based learning and assignments.

  • Installing and Configuring Windows 10 Client
  • Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices (CND1)
  • Microsoft IT Security Fundamentals
  • MTA Networking Fundamentals
  • CompTIA Network+

  • Investigating and Defining Customer Requirements for IT and Telecoms Systems
  • IT and Telecoms System Operations
  • Remote Support for IT and Telecoms Products or Services
  • IT and Telecoms System Management

  • Working with IT and Telecoms Hardware and Equipment
  • IT and Telecoms Fault Diagnosis
