Jones Whyte
The challenge
Jones Whyte take immense pride in nurturing talent ad shaping the future workforce. In 2021, they recognised a need to bring in fresh perspectives and bridge the skills gap in key areas of their business. They often struggled to find junior staff with the right mix of legal knowledge and practical skills. As a growing business, they also needed well-trained support staff and junior fee earners to alleviate workload pressures on senior staff.
The solution
To address these challenges, Jones Whyte partnered with QA to recruit apprentices for legal assistant roles. This collaboration provided a cost-effective means of recruiting and training talent while addressing specific skill requirements and business needs. QA Apprenticeships offer hands-on training tailored to business needs, ensuring new talent is developed in a way that aligns with the organisation's requirements
“We chose QA through external recommendation and I keep working with them to grow our business because I trust them. Their programmes are thoughtfully designed, their instructors and assessors enhance our apprentices’ knowledge and capability”

The result
The apprenticeship programme has been invaluable in fostering new talent while ensuring Jones Whyte remains dynamic and forward-thinking. One notable success is Gurveen, an apprentice who introduced a new monitoring system to track cheques across departments, improving accountability and minimising risk. This proactive contribution, along with others from apprentices, has enhanced efficiency and reliability within the firm.
Overall, the apprenticeship programme has brought fresh talent into the firm, improved team efficiency, and helped develop a strong pipeline of skilled professionals.
“Our experience with QA has been extremely positive, and we look forward to continuing this collaboration and welcoming more apprentices into Jones Whyte in the future.”
