Similarly affected by the current climate, BCC issued section 114 in October 2023. Having assessed their best next move, they are shifting focus to data skills, in order to harness the efficiency and insights which will safeguard the organisations future.

Just 12% would describe their organisations as ‘digital transformers’ while a massive 37% consider them ‘digital beginners’.
A change in mindset, as well as strategy, is urgently needed.

Having been through challenges and entered special measures last year, SBC redirected their investments into skilling, with positive effect. Coming out the other side of a much-needed transformation, they had this to say:
“Over the last 12 months, Slough Borough Council (SBC) has built a strong relationship with QA, and we have recently purchased another skills licence for a second year.
The partnership we have developed with QA has been fundamental in upskilling staff at SBC with many gaining professional qualifications.
Our Account Manager has been instrumental in developing the relationship with SBC ensuring we maximize our budget to its fullest.
We receive excellent customer service, answering every request and query we have and resolving our issues promptly.
I hope this relationship continues for many years.”
