National Apprenticeship Week FAQs

When is National Apprenticeship Week 2025?

National Apprenticeship Week always takes place in February, and in 2025 it will be held from Monday 10th February to Saturday 16th February.

What is National Apprenticeship Week?

National Apprenticeship Week is an annual week-long celebration of apprentices and apprenticeships in the UK. First held in 2007, the aim of National Apprenticeship Week is to showcase the benefits that apprentices and apprenticeships can make to individuals and businesses.

During National Apprenticeship Week, apprentices and educational institutions across the UK share in the success of apprenticeship programmes and raise awareness of how more people can get started on their apprenticeship journey.

National Apprenticeship Week is the perfect opportunity to kick start your career, and with QA, you can access apprenticeships for some of the most in-demand digital and tech skills in the country.

For businesses, National Apprenticeship Week is an opportunity to celebrate the apprentices in their organisation, as well as find out more about hiring and deploying apprentices in the future.

How many National Apprenticeship Weeks have there been?

2025 will be the 18th iteration of National Apprenticeship Week, with the first event taking place back in 2007. The event was introduced by the UK government as a way of promoting apprenticeships in the UK.

How do I find out more about apprenticeships?

You can find out more about all things apprenticeships at QA here. We also have dedicated resources to the Apprenticeships Levy for employers, and guides to how apprenticeships work.

What happened during National Apprenticeship Week 2024?

Last year was the 17th edition of National Apprenticeship Week, which took place from 5th to 10th February 2024.

The theme was 'Skills for Life' and was geared towards showing how apprenticeships can help businesses develop a talented workforce with future-ready skills.

QA ran a number of webinars and events to support candidates on their apprenticeship journey.
